Roger Pauly

Roger Pauly, The Village Tavern's very own singer/pianist has had quite a musical history. He's written television and radio commercials for Kraft Foods, Seven-Up, Kelloggs, GMC, Chevrolet, Toyota, McDonalds, CBS, WGN, WHAS, Archway Cookies, Lipton, The Washington Post, Nestles, Uncle Ben's Rice & Disney World to name a few.

While living in Lousiana for a couple of years, he developed a "Big Easy" musical style that later came in handy when asked to arrange and direct a wide variety of television spots for New Orleans based POPEYES CHICKEN featuring Jerry Lewis, Dr. John and Fat's Domino. That's right "Love that chicken from Popeyes".

Afterwards, Roger's growing relationship with Fat's blossomed into a musical friendship resulting in the release of two collaborative CD albums. The latest "Alive and Kicking" in 2006 donates all proceeds to New Orleans musicians victimized by Katrina.

Many performances in the past include stage shows. Roger opened for The Four Seasons, Chicago, Chuck Berry, The Zombies, Three Dog Night, Styx, The American Breed, The New Colony Six, Ronnie Milsap, Roy Clark, Crystal Gale, Leon Russel, Paul Revere and the Raiders, The Kingston Trio, The Letterman, The Funk-A-Delics and most recently Alicia Keys with the Jack Kramer Orchestra.

Roger has played The Waldorf in New York, The Bellagio in Las Vegas, events for Oprah & Bill Wertz, even a party with Hillary Clinton as a guest speaker. These are perks Roger continues to enjoy while working regularly with the Jack Kramer Orchestra. A smaller version of this ban appears often at The Village Tavern called The R.J. Express.
