Bob Samborski has compiled an impressive reputation over the years as one of Chicagoland's leading trombonist. Bob's love of music is obvious and contagious in his performing style. Noth only is he comfortable playing trombone in virtually all musical styles - including Jazz, Classical, Latin, Pop, Swing, Dixieland, and Klezmer - but Bob is one of the most multi-talented and versatile musicians around and is a highly-skilled pianist and percussionist.

After studying music at the University of Illinois, Bob embarked on a professional career whihc included stints of varying lengths with such notable performing artists as Elvis Presley, Glen Campbell, Mel Tormé, Cab Calloway, Les Elgart, Ben Vareen, Sonny & Cher, Warren Covington & the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra - name a few. After settling back in the Chicago area, he became one of the most sought-after studio trombonists and arrangers in the area, recording with a number of Chicago-based bands and jingle houses, including Dick Marx, Cliff Colnot, Bob Perna, Buddy Childers, KMFDM, amoung others.

Because of his outstanding musical talent along with his high energy  and infectious good attitude as a performer, Bob has been dubbed "the Ultimate Sideman." Bob has a long-time association with Jack Kramer and Roger Pauly and performs regularly with both. You can catch him with the "R.J. Express" when they perform at the Village Tavern. It's a treat you won't soon forget.
